I know inmates make a little bit of money while in a state prison. They do small jobs for very little income. I know that very little income is still better than no income.
I'm owed thousands in back child support, and never received anything. My daughters father will finally be going to a State prison for numerous felonys, and I was just wondering how much money I can expect to make while he's in there. Even $10 per month is better than nothing at all.

I would say 5 dollars a day max.....If you watch msnbc they often have prison shows. On one episode a guy made 35 cents an hour I believe.

go look in this month's Harper's magazine...at the statistics page. I can't find mine right now, but it stated that farm-working inmates made $0.60/hr, while the state charged farmers something like $15.00/hr.
