Why are they receiving all of these foreign immigrants? I believe if this continues, they will both be sorry.

I would like your opinions. Why do they do this?

Jay N - Sorry for the fact that they may have to deal with a terrorist attack in the future, or the possible mass killing of their original citizens. We all need to wake up....it's 2007.

I would slam the door on nonaligned countries, and I'm liberal.
Several decades back, it was considered smart to invite the children of rich and prominent foreign families to attend universities here (USA). They were expected to go back to their own countries being pro-American for living here, and have a pro-american influence in the politics of their own countries. Many like Shah Pahlavi of Iran and Manuel Noriega of Panama were educated here, then installed as pro- american leaders (dictators) in their countries.
Now, terrorists sneak in as students, businessmen, vacationers, etc.
So you can't just stop the ones who want to stay here. You must also stop the ones who just want to visit. No foreigner has a right to come here. Their rights begin when they're already here.

I agree. Western countries need to stop taking in so many immigrants, and get their birth rates up. Otherwise they will be overwhelmed and probably have to fight to save their civilization.

France is waking up.
Scotland is waking up.
The UK knighted Rushdie, in the face of Muslim protests
Denmark is waking up.
Finland won't give ID cards to refugees.
Spain is deporting illegals.
There are signs things are turning around.

I'm not anti-immigration, but countries have a right to screen who they let in, and deport troublemakers. If the immigrant populations become the majority, western political systems, languages, sciences and cultures will not continue for long.

Immigration has generally been good for both countries. Immigrants are often the most intelligent, driven citizens of their former countries. They usually work hard and accomplish a great deal. Many of the most outstanding contributions in business, politics, the arts and other fields have been due to immigrants.

Part of the reason is that there is a shortage of qualified people in technological fields, so we offer incentives to get immigrants to come. There are other reasons, such as exploitation of the immigrants in various ways which is unfortunate. While I support it, I do believe that immigration should be more controlled. Most are deserving of the opportunities that the USA and England have, but some should not be allowed.

I don't know about the UK but here in the States it is all political. I live in Texas and we are being overrun with Mexicans. And all the people who make the decisions don't live in the areas most affected, they see workers coming over that would boost the economy but that is just not the case. They come over here with their women about to pop have a kid over here and now their is nothing that we can do about it, and we are now forced to support that child and the many more on the way with our tax dollars. But trust me I don't know where you are from but it sounds like you aren't from here so let me tell you something, we aren't naive of the situation it is just that at the moment our hands are tied by pussy *** politicians who don't know their @ss from a hole in the ground.

I think you are right in one way, some are definitely terror cell placements since both countries have such easy access to citizenship. I feel we do need to have immigration but I think we need to check people a lot more thoroughly.

The USA was BUILT on the backs of 'foreign immigrants'. Be sorry about what? Building diversity?

Whats the point of saying 'foreign immigrant'? Can you have a native immigrant?

I think you should wake up, we are a multicultural society. Embrace it or be left behind!

They use them for internal security and beefing up what gaps there are in their organized crime structure. Political police as well. At the same time it ensures subjugation of the indigenous population.

America is made up of immagrants. we just ask that they sign the guest book. I spent a short while in London and was surprised to see England is a melting pot also which kinda hurts my feelings because they kicked my family out of England 350 years ago.
