She's teething, more than likely. This is sometimes also related to growth spurts... she won't die from not eating much, so just give it a day or two before you bother seeing your doc.

I've had 3 kids and all of them went through a phase like that when they were around that age... When I asked my doc about it, she said that they might do that when they're going to have a growth spurt, when they're that young they sleep alot to prepare for it and that's probably why she's not eating so much... As long as everything else it normal and it doesn't last more then a couple of days I wouldn't be so worried, but you could always call her doc and get there opinion if it makes you feel better... I hope this helps...

:) Growth spurt, it comes around at about 6 weeks.
i'm not sure how you're feeding, but add an ounce to the bottle or nurse 5 more minutes.. Totally normal, some babies sleep all day, some eat more than they ever have!!!

Was it hot today? If she's acting normal, she might not be interested in eating. And count your blessings on the sleeping thing--our son had ear infections at that age and never slept, poor guy. Give it a day or two and see how she acts.

She may have a touch of a bug, usually that's why they sleep so much and eat little. As long as she is having wet diapers every few hours, then she is ok. When the peeing stops, that's when you go into emergency. She could dehydrate so watch for this. Good luck!

It's a good chance that she is just resting and growing, babies do most of their growing when they sleep (actually everybody does most of their growing while they sleep)and if she doesn't
have a fever or seem to be sick in any other way then count your blessing and get a little rest yourself.

wait unitl tomorrow and she'll probably stay awake all day eating. no need to worry. when babies are not growing, they actually need very little to just feel content. as long as there's no fever and even more to watch, no change in behavior, there's nothing to worry about. Just keep it in mind the next time she wants to eat tons!!

That is so weird, I have never heard of this unless they are not feeling well. I would call the pedatrician.
