It's all about Greg Oden. Kevin Durant is a great player, but there is nothing spectacular about him. He plays like a Luol Deng or a Rashard Lewis, plus he can't even bench 180 lbs. This could be an indication of his ability to take a beating in the NBA. Oden on the other hand, is a no brainer. In the Nationial Championship Game he dominated a Florida front line made of Al Horford, Corey Brewer, and Joakim Noah. (All three will be picked in the top 10 of this year's draft.) Oden will be able to dominate the game not only in the low post, but defensively as well. This is a no-brainer. Greg Oden.

While Kevin Durant is a tremendously gifted perimeter offensive player, its not that rare in the NBA. We have Kobe, Wade, Lebron, Arenas, T-Mac, Ray Allen and several dozen other wingmen who could put up 20-30pts on any given night.

Its a proven fact that it is easier to build a champion team around a solid Big man (see Shaq & Duncan over the last decade) than to have a perimeter superstar and try to get decent frontcourt support for him (MJ was the lone exception).

If portland can trade away Zach, then pick Oden as their legitimate Center and move Alridge into PF. If portland can't trade away Zach, I'd suggest them to pick Durant and play him SF since it is their weakest position even if darius miles has come back. Or if they dont think Jack is the PG of the future, they could trade him along with the #1 pick as a package, move down a little to get coloney and a decent veterian player. I bet some team will pay a high price for oden or durant. And portland will get some desperate veterian leadership for a young team.

I live neAr portland and am a trail blazer fan I think it's going to be Greg Oden that guy has a lot of talent and is still young and I think that no matter what they need him because even if they don't want him they can trade him for more players on a team that does want him so it's defenetly goin to Greg Oden I'll be suprised if it does't

I think Portland will pick Greg Oden and he will be great for them, but I think it should be Kevin Durant. He is going to be unbelievable. Hard to pass up Oden though. He is big and very talented.

it'll be Oden, and it should be oden. I think durant will have better stats in the NBA, but a good big man wins you titles. I'm a sonic fan and will be happy with durant. for a year before they move our team out of seattle.
