The SS Minnow was based in Hawaii. Never was in the Atlantic. Gilligan and the skipper were in the islands after WW2

Objects of Minoan manufacture suggest there was a network of trade with mainland Greece (notably Mycenae), Cyprus, Syria, Anatolia, Egypt, Mesopotamia, and westward as far as the coast of Spain. No evidence has yet been found to suggest they had ventured beyond the straights of Gibraltar and into the Atlantic.

They got as far as Spain and the Atlantic is just around the corner. They used tin and tin was mined in the British Isles in the antiquity. They may have. Interesting question. Hopefully someone may have more information.
