i don't know what to wear and i don't really want to wear a dress. It said on the invatation to dress " smart casual"

depends on if it is outside or inside and what state you live in. I live in Texas and if it is outside I would def. wear a dress because it will give you some breeze way...although you said you would rather not wear a dress. If it is outside and it is going to be warm I would wear nice dress Capri's and a cute top, not cotton, some other material a little nicer... something light weight and summery... If it is inside, I would tell you the same advice although bring a sweater because if it is at a Conservative church they will not like you bearing your shoulders, at least the older people will notice you. Then you can take off the sweater if it is warmer inside the reception.
White is not really appropriate for teens to wear at weddings plus you do not want to upset the bride, this is her day and she wants everyone to look at her. Also it is very inappropriate to wear jeans at a wedding especially if they specified the dress as "smart casual". I would recommend brown, cream, or black- All classic colors that look good with everyone and everything no matter if it is an outside or indoor wedding. I hope this advice helps and have fun!!

Try a white pants suit. You can never go wrong with this. You can wear the white pants suit, and wear your hair in a bun with some glasses if you have any. Try some white peep toe heels. Also, if you want you can eliminate the white blouse under the jacket or include one, either way, it will look sharp. Try some white pearls also, with a simple white hand pocketbook, very simple sleek look.
Wear a red lipstick with a gloss apeal, and maybe some pearl earings or diamond studs. You cant go wrong with this attire at all. Works all the time for weddings.

just wear some nice slacks with a nice blouse and some nice shoes. But whatever you do don't go in jeans and tennis shoes or something like that.
Oh, and what ever you do DON'T WEAR WHITE, you never, never wear white to a wedding, only the bride is supposed to wear white.

If so, how about some really, really nice loose linen trousers teamed up with a longish tunic top for the latest European look?

wear a strapless dress thats not designer and doesnt have much pattern and it made with appropriate fabric have it made so it falls down to your knees
dress designers will do this for cheap ($500-$1,000,000 depending on your budget)
also if you really need to try like macys or nordstroms

it depends on where the wedding is. if it is hot there, you might want to wear a skirt, or some nice shorts, and some heels and a tank top. hope this helps
