Then don't make a list.
If list-making works for others, wish them congratulations and Mazel tov. Their success doesn't compel you to copy their actions.
Lord, I wish people would stop having such a herd mentality. The best thing my parents taught me was to be an independent thinker and not give value or credence to peer pressure.
You are under no obligation to be like everyone else. Tell yourself that at least twenty times per day.

Goals are just steps in a day to move you forward to the next moment. sometimes trying something new, or just changing your routine. ladies like to change their look every once in a while that is a goal, some make the change and some change their minds.
Start by setting a goal for later in the day or tomorrow. reach for that and then move on to the next day. settting your goals higher and higher as you go. Try doing something you want to try or learn. Never set a goal beyond what is reasonably within reach. For example: Like losing weight, set a goal to lose a pound a week, then move it to a higher mark as you go. Sometimes we don't think we have goals but we do. We just think because they are small in our eyes that they are not goals.

Is there a deadline?
Sometimes it's good to start really simple.
You can always figure out the more specific things later.
For example:
What's your favorite subject in school?
Who do you admire the most? Why do you admire them?
What do you like the most about yourself?
Which people matter most to you?
How about really basic goals: what's more important... to be happy, to be famous, to be rich, to be liked, etc.
The best questions and answers alway beg more questions.
Quick answers to life's big questions rarely serve you well.
Try not to get frustrated... the answers will come.
Best wishes

People suggest that you make a list of your goals so that you don't lose track of them, can prioritize them, and appreciate it when you have completed them.
If you can think of nothing that you wish to do, see, or become, then it may be a good idea to find out. Or it may mean that you're someone who prefers to watch things develop instead of constantly making judgements (as Meyers would put it).
Just be careful. As the saying goes, "If you don't change direction, you're likely to end up where you're headed." And if you're headed nowhere...

Your goals will change as your life changes. If you are still in school, set goals like achieving better grades next semester or not falling in to peer pressure. As you grow older, responsibility will kick in. At 40, my goals tend to reflect such things as adding more to my savings this year or reading a book about a subject of which I know little about, etc.

Why are people saying this to you? Are you wanting guidance from them in some way?
If you are very young maybe you don't have enough life experience to know what you want yet. That's O.K.
If you want to be successful in life you need to decide what you want, how you want it to be, how you are going to get there etc., these are goals and most times you get ideas from observation & experience of those around you. It's a process you either take on or not.
You get to choose your life. (it sounds pretty obvious doesn't it) I didn't realise this when I was young and I wasted a lot of time.
Leader or follower?
Good luck..

Tell them that you have a list, but that it's private.
That way you appear to conform to their pidgeonholing prerequisites.
Then continue living in a hassle free, I don't need a direction, happy go lucky, enjoying life by living it, frame of mind.
Who's going to be happier at the end of the day?
It's your rollercoaster
You make the rules for you...

It may be too early in your life. Think of what you are good at doing and what you like to do. Try to get those two together first. Then try to find a venue to test them out and see if you like it for real.
