Many believe that we go to another reality after we die, and this was in fact an issue that consumed many long before the time of Jesus. The fathers of philosophy were fixated with the idea that as human beings we are superior to animals and that we possess a greater purpose. This conclusion was based on our superior intellect. Socrates (399 B.C.) displayed unparalleled courage when he willingly died for what he believed to be true. However, before him, the idea of temporality and change received endless treatment. The idea of life after death is certainly very appealing. What do u think?

I believe in EVERYTHING because it pleases me to believe in them.

Some things please me because they work. Some things please me because they are entertaining. Some things please me because they are familiar. Some things please me because I anticipate a return on that belief.

Is there really any other reason for any belief?

Actually there is no life after death the things that u have given above are just assumptions of the people that lived before us.
OK i will give an example the people believed that the earth was flat for more than 10,000 years and now we know that the earth is round. It is the same thing with the gods. There are no gods in this world it is just a big superstitious belief.

I believe that each life we live is to experience new things, good and bad, and grow wiser as a soul until eventually we can help others. Believing that, I think that between each life, you are reviewing the last and planning the next, with the guidance of something like a voice. While you are up there, you are "reachable" to others.

Thats what I believe.

Some books by Silvia Brown inspired me.

If life doesn't go on after our bodies return to the Earth, then life on Earth would be pointless. I think that we are here to remember something, to create something, to be something, and that at the next level we will be able to see the Big Picture--how everything is connected. How everything is ONE. Of course, we don't really need to die to experience this, but just look within ourselves.

Not only do I believe it because it's what I was taught, but I think that our human race needs to know that if their life doesn't end up the way we want it to, they still aren't done when they die. This also makes it easier to let your loved ones go, when you know they're in a better place.

No! I don't believe in life after death, and the idea is not appealing to me. Sorry!

well Jesus did die for our sins and raise again, there's no doubting that, at least for me, so yeah there is, you get to decide if you want it happy or painful.

No its illogical. Life is meaningless without death just as mass is meaningless without energy and up is meaningless without down. You think agents just exist forever? nice thought. nonsense though.

I think we will all be able to see our loved ones who have died someday in heaven and we will be able to live with them again :-)
