Because he hated homework???? Based on your question, it seems like it...

Honestly, before even posting something this silly, at least check whether you are asking a sincere doubt or a quick way out of your responsibilities that makes you look bad.

And as most others have told you, Wilson didn't start the War. It had been going for some time (since 1914).

President Wilson didn't start WW I. The US didn't even enter the war until 1917! The Great War was triggered when Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated by the Serbian terrorist group, the Black Hand. It was Austria-Hungary's plans for retaliation that put the wheels in motion that led to WW I.

Do you mean Woodrow Wilson?
Do your own homework. It's a little late for that now, isn't it? Or are you trying to get a head start on Summer School. If so - read up on World War I.

Do you mean why did the United States enter the First World War? Last I heard, Woodrow Wilson didn't shoot Archduke Franz Ferdinand or instigate the Europeans into forming an alliance system.

What exactly are you asking?

Did Woodrow Wilson start WWI? (the answer is no)
Why did Wilson enter WWI? (you can find the answer by Googling Woodrow Wilson and WWI or U.S. and World War I).

Your question is absurd. It would be like asking, "Why did Tony Blair start the war in Iraq"? The other answerers' suggestions to do your own work is good stuff, which may result in two things: One, you'd learn a lot; and Two, you'd quit embarrassing yourself.

I'm a history nerd and am itching to answer this...

But I saw your previous question and you just want others to do your homework for you. I'm sure it sucks still being in school now, especially since it's the end of the line and not too many more people are in school now, but hang in there and use your own brain.

President Wilson DIDN'T start WWI; it was Germany. He actually tried to keep the U.S. out of the war but had to send troops in 1917.

Because he believed that Germany violated the "Freedom of the Seas" and Germany also promised Mexico that they would give back the Southwestern States back as long as Mexico would be their ally.
