Best there is is 20 Mule Team Borax, comes in a black and white can shaped like a hip flask. My dad used it and my son uses it it is a gritty cleaner and gets rid of all the grim--also a nail brush.

I use hand cleaner or carb cleaner and then wash up with lava soap its the green soap thats feels like it has sand paper in it.
