i have loaned a sew land sewing machine model ; SM402 i have tried to thread it but i cant seem to get it to go.does any oneknow where i can get some instructions for it please i need to sew the kids school pants. thank you

What exactly is it doing or not doing? Does the light come on? Does it hum but stay still? If you can be more specific, we can zero in on the problem.
If you can find a threading diagram, it really is crucial.
Does your friend have the machine serviced every year, or at least oil it every 15th hour of sewing? ? If not, it may never work right til it gets a tune up.
