You can but the flights from Delhi to Goa fill up quite quickly, so last minute seats can be very expensive. Sometimes going to Rs. 12,000 which is outrageous.

Most flights from Delhi to Goa are not direct, but have a connecting flight in Mumbai. IndiGo has direct flights but they don't run every day and they have a very bad reputation for delayed (sometimes by 24 hours) or cancelled flights.

You could book a flight to Mumbai, spend a few days and then head to Goa. It would still be better to book your tickets in advance, though, just based on pricing.

Your best bet is to go to a travel agent and book the tickets from there, but do it as soon as you are sure of the dates and times so you get the best price!
