I don't think so. It would be too much of a hassle to unbuckle them if there were kindergardeners. It would also be beneficial if there were some serious bumps.

But my answer is no. My recommendation would be to add cusioned handles (one on the outside, middle, and near window) to each seat. They would be short and soft enough for kids to hold on to, but long enough so that kids wont lose their grip.

But hey. What do transportion ministers care about a 15-year-old's opinion???

EDIT: "its about time's" comment made me realize something. Instead of handles on the seats, handles on the back of the chair in front of them would work just fine. But since it's horizontal handles, a person would have to be able to slip their fingers through the handles so that they'll still be hanging on once the bus has overturned.

It's an unnecessary luxury. The seats are very high. The buses are also very big and if they crashed, the children will not be flying out of their seats. It takes a lot of energy to get the bus going fast, so the buses are usually very slow. e

probably, but how would you determine it? They say they can fit 3 peope per seat...have you ever had high schoolers try to sit 3 to a seat? It doesn't work. But elementary school booties fit fine...so where do you place the seat belts? If you do it for 2, it isn't spaced out for 3 and vice versa. The logistics dont work well.

It may sound like a good idea but I think it would be nearly impossible for a bus driver to keep all those kids buckled. And who would be to blame if a child unbuckled themselves while the driver was busy tending to everyone else and the road. I don't think it's going to happen any time soon.

Yes! You'd think after all the accidents that keep happening, they would finally pit seatbelts in school buses.

Hell no. Just because the moron in the back of the bus can't sit his dumb a** down doesn't mean that I should have to feel like I'm three years old.
