if you mean what did freud think the purpose of life is? to constantly seek to satisfy our UNCONSCIOUS desires (sex & food).

but, freud was a quack! he was addicted to cocaine & was impotent most of his adult life, his theories were based upon only a handful of victorian wealthy women, whom he studied & "analyzed" for years...

He had no purpose in life and he knew it. He did have some psychological crutches that got him through life until he could die. Those crutches were the good feelings he got from his drugs and the good feelings he got through his work (his work jacked up his self esteem).
