I do a bit of both, really.
More of the swimming though. Because you can tan and swim at the same time!
Usually I go to the pool to swim, and I sunbathe at home in the back yard (which happens to be cheaper than the pool, go figure!).

Unless you have a private pool it is almost impossible to actually swim. Too many sunbathers in the way.

I'm a swimmer, definitely. Though I always say the chlorine is bad, I swim anyway.

I like to pretend I can swim and then I get carried away going too deep and I splash around and panic a little.
