No..once he writes the ticket, you're done. Just pay the fine, and / or do traffic school so it doesn't go on your record. And don't go so fast next time and you won't get stopped.

I'm sorry pal. I don't mean to be hard of you but if you think that has a ghost of a chance of working you'd have to be living in some sort of fairy land. A ticket for doing 38 in a 25 in Arkansas sounds like a speed trap if I ever heard of one. I wish i could be more encouraging but it is unlikely that you will get out of paying for that ticket.

If the ticket has already been written, calling the officer will not help.
One option would be to contest the ticket. Legally, this is saying you deny that you were speeding.
Depending on the state law (you can look it up at http://www.megalaw.com/top/traffic.php) you can appear in front of a judge or magistrate, and if the officer doesn't appear in court to provide testimony to your speeding, the ticket is removed from your record and you pay nothing (this is the case in many states, Indiana and Texas are two examples)
Good luck!

Once a ticket is issued, the only way you can "get out" of a ticket is to go to court and appeal it. If you were speeding though (and you know you were), I'd just pay the ticket. You can spend all day appealing your case and still have to pay the ticket.
Good luck!

Once the officer writes the ticket it is in the hands of the court. The only influence the officer can have is to not show up for court. You were speeding so face the consequences.

The only way to get it pulled is if you know somebody. My brother got one in a small town in Arkansas, but he knew the police chief. So the ticket went away.

just tell them the truth..you were speeding and since you have a good driving record and want to keep it this way..could you please be lenient this time?
the police already has or will run a record check on your license..so you better tell the truth..also attitude is the key element..not all police react the same..most will still give you the ticket...especially our STATE POLICE but the local cops sometime will issue you a warning or reduce the charge to five over..this is better then nothing..
Believe me..the Police have heard it all..but if you have a good story...
One police man pulled a guy over who was going way over the speed limit..and the policeman said.."listen..if you can tell me a good story..I may let you off " so the motorist said
"listen officer..my wife ran away with a Policeman last week and I thought you were him and was wanting to bring her back to me!"..the Cop just smiled and said..have a nice day
SIR..tearing up the ticket back to his squad car

It is not up to the officer. Once you get a ticket and it is turned in, it is up to the judge. Plead not guilty and hope the officer does not show up to court to testify. Good Luck

No matter what you do you can't get out if it. I think. My uncle once got a speeding ticket but the officer immediately let him go because he was a Veteran.

Represent yourself in court and tell the judge a good sob story and you will get off your fine. Get advice what to say from Lawyers who specialize in speeding tickets. Look in your Yellow pages.
