I believe it is! 25 is in the 82% percentile in the USA, meaning only 18% of high school students who took the test did better!

Maybe I am not asking if it is a good score, rather, could I get accepted to many State Universities in Florida or Illinois, those are the only 2 states I am considering for college!!!

Like, could I get accepted into Central Florida U , North Florida U, Northern or Southern Illinois, and/ or Florida State U!

I will release my GPA later!

With these schools, what GPA is necessary to get accepted to these schools?
\
THANKS for all the helP!!!

Its above average its pretty good. Oh but my best friend scored a thirty on his but had a 2.4 GPA but, still didn't get into michigan state. A lot of the colleges look more at your GPA.

I got a 21 and I had a 2.5 GPA and I was accepted into the University of Illinois-Chicago.
I know a lot of other friends who are in private universities with a 23+ so for state schools 25 ACT is pretty good. I wouldn't worry about Illinois state universities, I'm not sure for Florida though.

For a State University, a score of 25 is fine. You will also need maybe one or two extracurriculars (spelling error probably) and a gpa of about 3.0 or better. As for whether or not your score is good, I would have to say that it pretty much is average for a public university. However, if you wanted to get into a good university maybe any of the ones in the top 30, you would need at least a 28, a gpa of 3.4 or better, along with at least 2 extracurriculars.

it shouldn't be difficult to get into most of those schools with a 25 ACT.

I could have gotten into the University of Michigan with my ACT score had my gpa not been as low as it was, so my advice would be to keep your gpa up and you shouldn't really have any problem getting into those schools.

Aside from speaking to the admissions counselors at the schools, you might also want to consider extra-curricular activities like the National Honor Society and other community service or academically-based organizations. Being a part of this will usually show the admissions counselor that you're going to participate in the school's activities, which is often something that they look for.

For future reference, the best way to find this information for any college is to go to the college's website, click on the link for prospective students, then read the admissions requirements.

In my sources, I included the links for the schools I found the information for.

The University of North Florida requires a "1050 SAT-I (21 ACT) and 2.5 (recalculated) GPA or 2.9 if applying for Fall."

Northern Illlinois University requires a minimum of 19 ACT score if you are ranked in the top half of your class. If you're ranked in the bottom half, you need at least a 23 ACT score.

I had trouble finding information on the rest of the schools. The best thing to do is either call the admissions office at each of the schools, or request more information through the websites.

I actually went to Northern Illinois and got a 25 on my ACT. It is more than enough to get into any state school in Illinois. Your score is pretty high so you may want to look at U of I. I think it'll be a better fit and more challenging.
