Sounds like you have been infected with malware, i.e. your computer has become a robot for some hacker to send out spam. The symantec firewall is blocking the SPAM from going out and is telling you every time it does.
You need to run run something like f-secure to clean off the malware. Odds are the malware you have is smart enough to hide itself from NAV. It's probably hiding behind a rootkit.

Scan your computer immediately with both your anti-virus and your anti-spyware programs.
Good luck.

If you have anything Symantec or Norton installed, remove it immediately. Install an AVG antivirus, Adaware, and Spybot S&D and scan. Also stop using Internet Explorer and use Mozilla Firefox

Symantec is just the publisher of norton and maybe its just notifying you to run live update to update you virus scanner. HOPE THIS HELPS.
