Very good question. I think Samuel would be crazy not to just take the franchise tag and play for the Patriots. Most NFL players would sign 1 year contracts for practically nothing to play on that Patriots team this year because the chances of getting a Super Bowl ring are so good. Look at Randy Moss, that's exactly what he did.

Asante Samuel has no choice...He is the franchise player...I just hope the Pats are planning on giving him a long term contract...

They will play 6 games each for their teams, just so they get their contract money

yea i think samuel will play this year because if he holds out he would be throwing out $7.80 million in guarentees and about $2 million more in compesation, he would be crazy to throw tht out. briggs i think he will hold out though.
