The key word is PATIENCE. Swelling could take months to go away. Scars take up to a year or more to fade, Mederma and Scarguard are great for helping them fade. It took me three months to get nipple sensation back, but that too can take over a year.

I stayed overnight in the hospital and spent two weeks off of work (you should take a month off if you have a very physically active job OR be on light duty and take it easy during that time).

I had my surgery perfomed 8 weeks ago. I spend just under 2 hours in theatre, 15 minutes in recovery and 24 hours in hospital. I was on strong pain killers for 5 days and antibiotics for 7 days. The pain for me really was not bad at all, if adrenaline kicks in, as it did with me you should be fine.
My left nipple sensation came back after 6 days and my right sensation came back after 2 weeks.
My breasts are now firm, perky and very small compared to what they were-- I love it. You should too.

My friend got that done a while back and it helped her out so much. She was only 5'2, 115lbs and size EE breast. It ran in her family being that big, but she always had bas back problems. After she got it done, she was a lot better. No more back problems. It did take her a while to recover, because they had to make the cut bigger. But she did and she's great now! Good Luck!!
