Maybe ease up a bit on your running. You don't have to stop, but cut down to maybe five miles a day. Sometimes an excessive amount of exercise will stop periods. If your doctor has prescribed these meds, give them a chance to work. Both are designed to build up the endometrium, or lining of the uterus, and stimulate the ovaries to release an egg,so that menstruation will occur and you'll be able to conceive. Good luck!

I'm not a doc but don't you need a little body fat to maintain a period? What's your BMI? Your body must not think you're gearing up for a baby but instead for a fight or flight. You can still run but take it down a notch or two. When you get pregnant, you are going to need to eat about 500 extra calories a day. How is your body going to use that to nourish a little life inside you if you're burning it off?

You should run less, especially as running is not advised excersize while you are pregnant. Also you are probably at least mildly underweight, which makes it more difficult to conceive. You period only stops when there is to much stress on your body, either emotionally (rarely) or physically!

well just think of it this way, what would you rather have: Your own child that will love you and you can love back and spend your life with OR a sport?ALSO: you can probably just cut down on the running and still have a child. Just think about your priorities!

Lots of exersize and rapid weight loss can cause your period to stop. just take it easy for awhile, go down to maybe 5 miles a day, see what happens.

I'm pretty sure those two medications should help. Did your doctor tell you you've quit ovulating as well? It's still a possibility.
