Probably wake him/her up. It really depends on what type of job it is. If its a job where alertness is required i.e., security, taking care of others I would definately report the person. If its a lame computer job or something like that then I wouldn't worry too much about it really unless this person makes a habit of it.

Leave him alone until the lunch break is over, then wake him up before he gets caught by the boss ...

That is OK, if they get rest/sleep during their lunch break. By the way, is this beyond getting a break?

This has happened to me once. I finished our joint project that we were working on and when I presented it to our boss, I made she sure she asked him the questions. When it was obvious he didn't know, I mentioned that he should stop sleeping at his desk and spend more time helping me prepare our presentation.

well, I'm part of management so I'd wake them up and make sure there is nothing seriously wrong..and barring there isn't , give them a warning and send them home for the rest of the night.

as much as i'd like to join & go to sleep as well, i'd wake them up cause I wouldn't want them getting fired on the spot....or myself for that matter!

What I always do; cover her in auxillary pharmaceutical stickers that read "Shake Well" and "For Rectal Use Only."
