Why are hats considered disrespectful inside buildings?

or at church? I don't understand why it gets such a bad rap?

I'm not really sure..seeing the way some people dress..it should be ok to wear hats inside a building

Hats are considered disrespectful in places of law and worship.

It is not good to wear a hat inside a courtroom or at church.

This has to do with the fact places of law are based on the Judeo-Christian tenents.

Church is a place of worship for the Lord.

The Bible states it is not good for someone to cover their head while worshipping.

I know there is a better explanation from someone, but this is what I know.
