At work....should I close early and go home? I have not had one customer all day!

A LOOONG time a go, I pull a stint like that. ... My supervisor showed up (they never did!!) and I had to hear about it the next day and teh day after that....
Lesson learned, specially when you are prone to Murphy's law.

i don't know what you do for work but whatever it is, don't be a fool. If you are in charge of it, why don't you sit down compile your thoughts and try to see if you could find some good strategies that can bring you customers. I don't think that closing and go home to watch TV or eat icecream which is usually what i do, will do any good. Think it over, do you really want more customers? if your answer is YES then forget about closing early and go home, and if you don't want them then do whatever you feel like doing, at the end of the day life is ***'ng hard and we need to figure out how to solve problems because a ignored problem is never a solved one.

It seems that you have the prerogative to choose to go home. Are you the owner? Great deal.
The real question is what do you work for. Do you work to accomplish something or just put in time? You can accomplish plenty if no customers come in. Are you using the time for the very best possible thing you could?
I think you have enough going through your head to make the best choice.

i'd keep the shop open until it was supposed to close. Sometimes i get to stores last minute - like 5 minutes before close. i would get peeved if the store had closed early. Plus - u've got the Internet. you should be all set.
