Are you asking me if I'm thankful because my parents stayed together? Frankly no. It was a bad decision to stay together. I don't know what happened and I don't care. All I know is that neither of them was happy after "that" and they barely spoke to each other. What an awful way to have to live. We never saw affection, everyone was tense, arguments were whispered after we went to bed. Now looking back, I do appreciate what they did. They did what they thought was best for us. Was it? No. They both deserved to be happy. They were pretty good people and deserved so much more in life. My sister and I would have survived the divorce.

Yeah I do thank god that my mom/dad have stayed together, they just celebrated their 37th anniversary - they got married when they were 19!
