good question-
I don't wait for people to tell me, I tell them first!- I wake up next to my wife and say good morning love- I love you SO much- you mean the world to me.... you are my favorite wife in the WHOLE wide world..... she usually replies - I love you too- thanks...
To my children as they wake up I ask each of them who's my favorite big/little girl in the whole wide world.... make sure they say "me"- I say "Absolutely" you are daddy's special girl.
and whenever I see my parents they always bless me and give me a kiss- I usually say thanks mom/dad- I love you....
If there is one thing I'm proud of is that I always tell people that I appreciate them. I notice that when you love and tell people how much they actually mean to you- love is returned 2 fold.
Thanks for asking that question!

I think we are all falling short on this part of our lives. I try very hard to tell people thank you or that I appreciate what they do to make my life better, but we as humans tend to get so wrapped up in our own crap that we forget. The other thing is that we are really good at telling strangers/coworkers, etc but we forget about those closest to us. The ones that need to hear it from us more than anyone, especially children whether they are yours, or your niece or nephews. It's important that they know how important they are to people outside the walls of their own home where love and punishment sometimes blur.

My sweetheart tells me he appreciates me all the time. Before we fell in love and were friends first, he told me that then as well. That was one of the things I began to love about him--that he made me feel wanted and cared about from his appreciation of me. And he still makes me feel that way to this day. He is wonderful.

I remember when I was first emailing my sweetheart and telling her that I appreciate her. And I still do so very much. It's not so much by the way she tells me she appreciates me but by the way she shows me as I know she really does appreciate me.

Rather often, thank God. And it's true what "they" say about what goes around comes around. I appreciate you for being so open and giving us a chance to open our hearts to you. Be well.

Not as much as it's deserved. I've been very angry over this very problem lately, I seriouly am considering limiting my help for people who don't appreciate it. Which is almost half my friends and family. x(
