I thought it ended on December 21, 2012. I think it will be the beginning of a new era for man, where we will realize that material possession are not the most important thing in life.

Another calendar goes into effect the next day,Just like Dec 31 on ours, the day after another calendar begins. The much misunderstood significance of the Mayan calendar is blown out of proportion. The Mayans actually see this as a time of a new beginning and the end of the old era.Nothing cataclysmic or dire. This has been played up to sell books and promote TV shows.Thats All.

You are absolutely right! It will be the true y2K. Not the phoney one that the Mayans tried to warn us about. That was simply a trick to take us off guard and probably would have worked if it wasn't for those cagey Mayhans.

So to answer your question," what will happen on 2012" is everything or nothing if you are prepared. A quick reference to the Mayan "Yucetec" accounts suggest that Itzamma was the god of the night sky and all motherboards (including Apple!). I think that makes it pretty obvious what we need to do! :)

YIKES. Unlike the turn of 999-1000 when nothing happened as well as 1999-2000 when nothing happened on Y2K, they last last the Mayan Calender ended is estimated this was around the time of the extinction of dinosars, let's keep our fingers crossed you are right, but there is a book called the Mayan Code I'm reading, and it's quite pessimistic...

Moron's have been trying to predict the end of time since the beginning of time. No one has been right yet. Hey, how about them Myans. I hear they're all dead and gone now. How ironic!

Based on the faulty circular logic they used the world does end on that date. However, the logic is faulty so I don't really think anything will happen. I guess we'll have to wait and see though.

I will likely be anticipating Christmas Eve, which will, I hope, be the best Christmas Eve up until that point. I love Christmas.

Nothing will happen, it's the beginning of another Mayan age, another calendrical cycle.
