Does it cost anything to sell items? Is it safe? How do you get your money from something you sold?

eBay does take a small commission out of items that are sold, otherwise they could never stay in business. People have feedback ratings so bad sellers/buyers are easily noticed and you don't have to do business with them. I believe its every half month that eBay deposits your earnings into a bank account you've specified, minus their commmission.

high tech classified adds.

Does it cost sell, yes, but I've found significantly cheaper than a newspaper add. If your item doesn't sell, eBay will let you list again for free.

Is it safe - yea - not sure what your worried about?

How do you get your $. As the seller you can control it, you can have the buyer send you a money order or check or ship cod or basically anyway you can come up with. They have an online "escrow" service called paypal. You can now use paypal to pay for all kinds of things. Paypal is very safe, providing your smart about how you use it. A lot of phishing goes on for paypal account information.

I bought a camera through ebay. The camera was junk when I got it, the seller refunded my money - I sent back the camera. My wife buys all kinds of stuff on ebay. So far, no issues.

Ebay does charge a very small fee to host your auction. Most publicity-high cost. Its very safe!!! As you can tell millions of people use it and its still in business. Ebay is partners with a company call PayPal. You have an account with them, you can add or subtract the money thats in that account. Anything to do with ebay Comes directly out or In the account. Some people use other forms of method. BUT its defianlly not as safe and it makes for a longer transaction. I say try it out, by purchasing somthing first. Make sure you purchace from someone with a high and postive feedback. You will also need to gain that too, so others will trust your business. Good Luck!!

It is very safe. Paypal (the payment method used through ebay) does not even give your credit card to the buyer/seller. And if you are scammed, paypal will refund it for you. Paypal also transfers the money to you so that's how you get your money. It costs 10% of whatever price your item sells for. It also costs money to put on pictures but I can't remember how much.

Yes, you have listing fees as well as final value fees.

Listing fee's start at well under $1 and go up from there, depending on your ad (pictures, cost of item, reserve, pictures in the gallery, bold in the gallery, etc)

Yes, generally speaking, it is safe. I have completed 180 transactions. I have never been ripped off, but someone has tried to rip me off 3 times. You have no know what to look for.

Sell only to people with positive feedback, accept payment from a verified paypal account, and send to a confirmed paypal address and you are pretty well covered.

To get paid you need to open a PayPal account.

YES, listing fees:.20 to $4.40, with a sliding fee on the value going from 5.25% to 3.25% for an item selling more than $25. Pretty safe, especially with paypal. People pay you for what is sold.

After registering with ebay
you list your item for sale with a photo if you desire.
They will bill you a very small charge for each item
listed.
Money for what you sold comes either through paypal if you choose to sign up for that or directly from customer.
when you get payment you mail the item.
I use direct contact with buyer and do not use paypal but large sellers/buyers find paypal more convenient. I love Ebay
