Why did man ( so to speak, personally I'd add WOman) invent machines?

The idea behind any machine is first to make some work easier. Today, the idea might rather be to find something people want rather than might use. The idea might be to earn money. Sometimes both go together. But the first reason is to make work easier or perhaps possible. Some tasks can only be done by using machines. Several buildings could not be built without them. Just an example. It should be noted that no machine is 100% efficient. Though the work is easier, more work is always required when using machines because of the inefficiency. That's why fuel is so expensive...at least in part.

ummmmmm.... to make life easier and faster. because people are impatient and lazy!
I'm sure you have been somewhere that have some old fashioned system and been like "they need to hurry up!" Well...that's why!
