He passed that milestone when he comitted purjury in first swearing to "preserve protect and defend the Constitution" while knowing he was not then and to this minute was NEVER elected. "Worst" doesn't BEGIN to describe his evil. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

conveniently, they are blinded with the aid of their all-encompassing hatred of the President. If he went right into a coma in the present day and not yet another element grow to be completed between now and a million/20/2009, he would nonetheless no longer be the worst president in history. Harding, Fillmore, furnish, and JQ Adams have spots a million-4 particularly plenty locked down tight.

Worst President Ever!

I don't believe he will go down as the worst President ever.
Why would he go down as worst president ever? Iraq?
If we are talking Iraq, you might think about all the soldiers that have been killed. But think of the battle of Iwo Jima.
In that battle close to 7000 US Service men died in a 6 month period, while Japan lost close to 21000 soldiers.
Katrina? Its easy to put blame on Bush, but the truth is that its the State's responsibility to maintain the levees, and the city of New Orleans is responsible for evacuation.
If you hold Bush's presidency to the same standards as other Presidents, his would be a very successful one. Low unemployment rate, high GDP, and the stock market is doing well. Bottom line, I think we would be in a better position in Iraq if it wasn't for Iran. Unlike most people, one thing that I don't agree with is Bush not taking decisive action on Iran. Last time I checked, a nation (Iran) killing soldiers of another nation (US) involved in military operations not concerning Iran would be considered an act of war and should be dealt with.

No. That honor will surely fall on Jimmy Carter, Nixon or perhaps one from the 19th century.

My vote is for Carter, who single handedly failed in dealing with every single challenge this country faced during his tenure in office.

Bush shares a lot of similarities with Truman, who also was reviled in his second term, but who now is looked upon quite kindly by history. I believe Bush will share the same fate.

Thanks to Jimmy Carter that won't be possible though I must admit George W Bush is the worst President since . . . well . . .

Clinton.

FYI: Bush may have a horrible approval rating though it's still currently above Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, the Democrat run House and the Democrat run Senate.

I do not believe there is anything that he can do to save his presidency and his administration from being considered the worst in history. When 9/11 happened he enjoyed an almost 90% approval rating, and then came Iraq, his failure to tell the truth about his reasons for attacking a sovereign country, his administration and its corruption, his adding to the national debt in huge record breaking numbers. The recession that he has caused, the deaths with his name on them. His approval is now in the twenty's and dropping every day as the war rages on. I do not think he will be looked on very kindly by historians at all. . .

probably not, unfortunately. If you are watching carefully, the white house and media have been working very hard to keep the eyes of the people off him, and onto other "important" issues that do not directly assault him. Bush will also come up with some great tradgedy that will raise him up just before the end of his term, which will overshadow all the evil he has done. The only way for him to go down as the worst president, is if we impeach him, and try him as a criminal, that way he doesnt have time to work some terrorist plot to regain his popularity. Watch the news, watch the propaganda thats comming out...and its all quite obvious if you can add 1+1+1.

No he won't, because the man has been a great President. Economy is up, unemployment is at an all time low. If you are referring to the war on terrorism, I'm all for that also. The reason being, if we go in there and tell those people we are leaving on this date, they will just wait until after we're gone to start everything up again. And terrorism is not stopping, it still continues. If we don't do something about it, who will? No one else steps up to the plate to do anything about it? No one will, that's who. No other country wants to get involved with such an issue. No one else has the guts!

Nope. Not even close. Liberals said the same about Ronald Reagan.

History will be kind to Bush, but will marvel at how his liberal detractors willingly let their lust for power put the US at risk.

The worst president in history is Jimmy Carter.

Who is to say. Before 2000, the watermark was set pretty high by Jimmy Carter. Bush is going to push the bar even higher but as we all know records are made to be broken.
