Eating lots of fatty foods, then drinking a Diet Soda?

Do some people think they cancel each other out?

hmm yea that's always befuddled me too. or girls i go to school with who will try to eat really healthy dinner and salads and then say, "Oh i did so well i'm going to treat myself to a big ice cream sundae!" and then they complain that they're not losing weight.

No, I don't think people actually think that diet soda cancels out calories (or maybe some people do, I hope not.)

However, drinking diet soda can cut down on your daily caloric intake and depending on how much soda one drinks daily, that could be a lot.

I would think most of the people who do this are using it as a tool to take in fewer calories so they can indulge in fatty foods from time to time without worrying about the extra calories found in regular soda. Or maybe they just like diet soda better than regular.

ok chemistry lesson....if you eat two big macs, two large fries then two apple pies and a fistful of cookies....then wash it down with a SMALL diet coke all the food will be dissolved by the diet soda oh yeah and diet soda will also cure leprosy, cancer, diarrhea and erectile dysfunction

i have to agree with eunosgirl. i know it sounds funny to do that, (order all of that food and get a diet soda) but why pile on even more calories (and sugar) with a regular soda.
and like marie said, some may be diabetic.

someone lied to you. I eat fatty foods and drink sugary sodas in order to cancel MYSELF out faster.

Oh I know. When I worked at Wendy's when I was in high school, there were some people who would get the "all you can eat" salad bar...and a small diet Coke. I would try so hard not to bust out laughing.

Always a laugh for me...And don't tell me it's because they like the taste of diet soda better...

Just go to the store and look in fat lady's cart in front of you. She will have a case of diet pop and a basket full of carbs.

There is no point. Might as well have the regular soda.
