The decision is theirs & it doesn't matter how "fab" you think she is. It is a private & personal matter between them & is nothing to do with us.

It's not whether he was doing better or not. It was a serious question and put up on him to make a decission by Queen Elizabeth his grand mom. As many of you know the old aristrocracy under which Elizabeth grow up with, dooms marrying some one that is not from the same breed.
On the contrary, it can only be Kates fortune that she did not had to endure what Princes Diana had to endure with all the paparazzi and media speculations whilst marrying to Prince Charles.
Besides Prince William has the World before him and who know's what will become of the British Monarchy . You do not hear much about the others Prince Edward, or Prince Andrew or Princes Margarete. So the only question that we might need to ask, does it matter who he will marry or if he is interested in marrying at all? Look at Prince Albert von Monaco. He is the head of state and is still a queer bachelor. So there. Who know's perhaps Prince William will live a private life ?

No;it would have been a massive mistake for him to marry when he wasn't ready to do so. William will be serving in each of the military branches, like his father did,and really will not be around to do the things necessary for making a marriage work.
Andrew was away quite a bit doing naval turns-of-duty,leaving Sarah alone for long stretches of time and you see that their marriage didn't work.

And angelikabertrand64, were you alive when Princess Margaret was in her 20's? She was the first princess to incite real media interest.Prince Andrew, when he was younger, also garnered a lot of press interest as well;his dates with ladies of questionable standards (Koo Stark and Katie Rabbet) made good, salacious press clippings.

The person Prince William marries will be Queen one day. So she must be very carefully picked, and Kate Middleton was not suitable.

There is a possibility that it was Kate who ended the relationship.I would hardly say that one person "dumped" the other.Angelikabertrand64,Princess Margaret has been dead for quite some time now, that could be the reason that you don't hear much about her anymore, maybe you are confusing her with the Queens only daughter Anne.

He'll be King one day. He has lots of responsibilities. Who knows the whole story behind it. We can't say whether is good or bad because we only see her pictures on television. Relationship are complicated. Let alone involving with someone at his position. Things will work out when he's ready. Look at his father. He had a relationship with a woman who's not attractive but he still loves her and determine to marry her at the end.

Congratulations on your baby!

Well, Prince William has all his life ahead of him, why would he stick to a girlfriend for ever?! He dumped her before getting more serious! Who knows what the future brings...he is still young! Look at his father........

Firstly I think it was a mutual decision. Surely it's their choice to break up, nobody else should have their say. A twenty-something couple broke up, it's hardly newsworthy is it? If they'd got engaged then that would be newsworthy as in all likelihood she'd become queen one day and/or be the mother of a future monarch.

We don't know the full story, but I would think so, luckily for her. She had a narrow escape. What sort of life would she have had with those inlaws?
