Have you tried charting your Basal Body Temp? Checking your Cervical Mucous? What about those little ovulation tests from Wal-Mart? Or... You could go to your doctor. He will run some tests and maybe prescribe Clomid or another fertility medication. Good Luck and don't give up hope.

I can understand what you are going through. My ex-husband and I tried and I started getting worried at about the same time as you. How can you not you see everyone else you know getting preg as soon as they get off of the pill or whatever.
Here is my tips to you.
1. Robitussin does work because just like it thins the secretions in your lungs it thins it down there so that sperm can swim up better.
2. Everyone says it and I know it is next to impossible to do but relax.
3. Chart your basal temp every day. Take your temp before getting out of bed every day. Do this for a month. Note the days your temp rises to about 99 or so. On these days the next month use a ovulation test (they are sold at Walmart and are like a preg test.) Now you will have a idea of when you are ovulating.
4. Until these days it is best to have sex every other day or every third day, this keeps the sperm fresh. After sex, I know it sounds funny but put you hips on a pillow so the sperm do now seap out.
Try these things a few months, if not preg then go to gyn. Do not start out with a fertility specialist because they are really expensive. A regular gyn can do the tests needed and try you on Clomid, a oral FD. He will know when to send you to a specialist.

Good luck to you. Do not let anyone make you feel bad. You and you alone know your body and noone else can tell you how you need to feel. Which by the way it ended up that both of my fallopian tubes were completely blocked and useless.

No sweetie, you have to figure out your ovulation days... usually two days out of the month generally 14 days after the first day of your period. You can check online under ovulation calandar and you should be able to find out. This will show you a 10 day ovulation period, its about the 3rd and 4th maybe 5th day of that ovulation frame. I had sex with my boyfriend of six years for 2 years no condoms, no birth control, no pull out... NOTHING and never got prego until we tried. Both times the ovulation calander worked for me. In fact I am prego now and once I started trying I did the calandar and was prego the next month!!! Good luck

I did it every other day and got pg, if you know your body and cycle you will have to see when you ovulate. Count the # of days of your cycle from the first day of your af to the start of the next and split that in half and you should be ovulating somewhere around that time. Robitussin can dry your cervix mucus so it could be harder for sperm to swim up stream.
Also go see a Dr. too and see what they say if you don't find yourself pg in another 5 months or so. Good luck!

Maybe you should just relax and have FUN. If you turn sex into a goal or a chore your going to take the steam out of it. the more you work at it the more your not thinking of your partner and the more the both of you lose interest. I think Darwin said that a species that doesn't enjoy sex can't reproduce. Sex is meant to be FUN as much as continuing of the species. Also is it so bad to NOT have a kid? maybe your fate is to be in a fun, safe, happy, strong marriage! think of all the money you'll save down the run. no one HAS to have kids you know. and there's plenty of kids who would love you to adopt them even if your not a celeb. you also might want to have the both of you checked by a fertility doc but also, really think about just being married and having FUN. PEACE.

well first 5 months is not that long for trying to conceive. your doc won't even worry till you get to a year. second, you definetly want to do the every other day thing. give his little men time to regroup but also keeps them from just sitting too long, which can also lower the sperm count. it took my husband and i 8 months with our first and oddly only 2 with our second. you may want to go into your doc and let them know you are trying, so that when a year is up, they already know that you have been trying. good luck.

it takes a while to get pregnant, i wouldn't be worried unless its takes over a year, or you know that you don't ovulate or have something else wrong, after a year of trying you should both get tested.
yes every other day is ideal... chart when you ovulate so you can be sure to "do it" those days
robitussin is suppose to thin out your cervical mucus and make it easier for the sperm...
good luck and babydust... and congrats on your marriage!

I had sex everyweek with my husband. not every single day but atleast every weekend a few times a day. I read somewhere that it helps if you orgasim the same time he does to help push the sperm towards the egg. I also suggest prayer! worked for me

if it still doesn't work i would suggest going to a doctor, one of you might be infertile?...its usually the man

Good Luck
