1) People have predicted the end of the world a lot recently. Don't worry about it. 2) Possible but note likely. Epidemics like Spanish Flu or Plague are much rarer now medicine has improved. We have even wipe out some diseases like smallpox - a pandemic is possible, but less likely than ever. 3) It might, but if an event that huge ever happeed we couldn't do anything about it really, so it's bets not to worry. With the exception of global warming there isn't anything we could changes. 4) These might exist, I don't know, I suspect that good secret societies (CIA, MI6 etc) would know about them and be protecting the general public. 5) Then things get bad. Again, not something we can really help :( 6) Possible; but you can't forcefully consricpt people as we dd in WW1 and WW2 any more so it's not likely to be on the same scale as previous conflicts; although modern warfare brings its own threats... 7) Maybe, but we'd see it coming and try to shoot it down I'm sure. Also, there's a lot of space out ther; not all that likely that it will hit us.

Then you just give up and walk away. Some people are so busy thinking about thier comeback/reply or getting ready to defend themselves that they cant hear what you are saying.

Oh, I liken it to talking to a palm tree. You get nothing back but some rustling and the occasional coconut.

Its irritating especially when they are capable of understanding.
I'll explain something a second time, but after that I'll let it go.

It is very frustrating and eventually I tell the person to forget it -when I get frustrated enough.
