a real, sincere person accepts the whole package. my son is biracial and i remarried back into my own race and he accepts and loves my son, and claims him as his even though they are obviously not related. he says all the time, i real man steps up.he has a child from a previous relationship, and the mother is real trash, but i stepped up and love this child, its not his fault

I know each case is different, as each kid is different. But, overall, I wouldn't marry again and have a "blended" family. Oldest step-son is a hellian, and he's been banned from my home because I don't want his foolishness rubbing off on my son, that i've tried to raise right. Then, in addition to that, there's always the battle of the X's, the parents. That's really fun to get in between, and all the money struggles, custody battles, etc. Why jump in a pit of snakes if you have to?

Sounds ugly, but that's just the cold hard facts....

Im a single parent as well, and I would prefer to deal with ppl, especially if I am dating, that have children, I have found alot of times that ppl whom I have dated that don't have children have a hard time dealing with that, for example they ask you to go out and you tell them you can't because your child is sick.....sometimes those ppl don't understand and take it as a rejection instead of a rain check. I am not saying all ppl are like that, but I find that ppl who already have children seem to understand a bit more.

What do you mean by deal with? Date? It depends...it wouldn't automatically make me run, but there are alot of things to consider...I would NOT be involved with a person with a psycho ex...I'm sorry people gp through that, but that's something I'm just not up for.
