Why not become a nurse that majors in peds. Nurses make good money and is a pretty stable job. If you still wish to open a daycare I am pretty sure people would not mind having their kids looked after by a BSc Nurse.

With so much controversy surrounding day cares today, I'd say become a nurse. That is the one job, I always see in the job section, it takes up 4 whole pages every Sunday in the newspaper. If you like kids that much then try to work in a pediatrics. For job security I say Nurse.

Nursing will get you farther money wise..unless you open your own business...Childcare is a hard thing to make money at, my mom had a home daycare for 6 years and she was probably the cheapest out there and she still had a hard time dealing with parents paying us...If you wanna make ok money and deal with parents( which by the way people forget you have to deal with them as well) then I say go for it.we had a blast, but you work hard for your money...Not saying that nursing you dont work hard but nursing you wouldnt have to deal with the headaches of owning your own business...good luck..I went to school to get my ECE but no one wants to pay you enough and I didnt want to open my own business, so now Im in law enforcement....Good luck!
