I would like to download this site but I need to know How to do this without harming my computer. I have windows vista, I have norton security, and I also downloaded the AVG free anti-virus. Also which songs are safe to download on lime wire, I have read that you should only download files at least 2000 kb or something. I am not very computer literate, so please explain in laymens terms. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Also, is it true that if I download lime wire on a standard user windows account instead of my administrator account it will not affect my whole computer?

I don't use Nortons being past experience with Nortons, they are only good at skilled marketing to sell a product that is very poor at finding viruses, and if found unable to remove. Plus they if you ever decide to remove Nortons, you are left with over 375 fragments glued to all your files, folders, and registry. This will cause you serious conflict, and is a nightmare removing them.
If you are using two antivirus program, this will cause serious conflict with your system. You can only use one. You can use three or four antispyware programs without conflict as one will always find what the others missed.
P2P, is safe and not the problem. What is the problem is the files that you download, as they are usually filled with trojans, and other viruses.
My suggestion is when you download a file, "SAVE", and then when you open the file scan with your antivirus, and also your antispyware before you proceed to installing the file.

Well look, firstly 2 antivirus softwares can even cause computer malfunction, so i suggest that you uninstall one now(better avg) secondly, with a firewall, and an antivirus you should be ok, and anything download from a peer 2 peer software can be dangerous, download whatever you want but keep an eye on your antivirus

The only viruses on Limewire that I notice are the ones with the extenstion .exe ...songs and videos that I download on there are always alright...try not to download some that say .exe, .rar, .zip files, those are those are the most common viroses....

You shouldnt get limewire it can be illegal and I once had it on my laptop even though we paind the annual fee my mom got a virus and it cost her 400 dollars to get her laptop fixed YIKES : (
