I make sure I get to know them first. Then I let them know.
But it all depends on timing. Sometimes, the timing isn't right, and I won't tell them for years. But I always end up telling them eventually. Even if the crush has passed.

No, but make sure your body language is telling them that you do have a crush on them. Play with your hair, touch them, make eye contact, then maybe when you are almost certain they like you tell them, if not, you could just ask them to hang out with you at the cinema or something

No, but I think my facial cues and body language may give it away. I'll never know unless I pick up the same thing from the other person. I'm kinda shy, too, so I wouldn't be upfront about it. It just depends on the situation and my comfort level.

nope. i have had a crush on some guy for the past 10 months plus and he doesn't know. i don't even know his name yet.. i might want to find that out first before telling him.
