How about the fact we didn't evolve from apes.

What evolutionist ever said that humans evolved from monkeys/apes???? You obviously don't understand the concept of evolution.

Evolution means that over time organisms change and adapt to pressures from their surrounding environment. For example, in any group of babies there are natural variations. Consider a group of turtles, some are rounder, some thinner, and some have longer necks. Let's say that the longer necked ones have a bit of an advantage when it comes to reaching for tasty leaves that the shorter ones can't get to. This means that the longer necked ones are more likely to survive to breed and the long necked trait is more likely to be passed on to their offspring. Over a couple of hundred generations you will find a species of turtle that is characterized by a longer neck than its cousins that evolved in a different climate.

Now.... if you extend that process back a couple of million years you will find a primate that is a common ancestor of monkeys, apes, and humans. However, each branch took it's own evolutionary distinct path.

First of all... Stupid question.

But to break it down for you. Say you start with two apes, they reproduce and say that several generations later you have 1000 apes from that original couple.

Say that one of those 1000 apes has a genetic mutation that causes it to change(evolve). The decendants of that one ape will carry on that trait but the decendants of the others will not.

Apply that many times over. You now have one line that carries a trait that may also change(evolve) and another line that does not have that trait.

Thus, over many generations, you can end up with several lines that end up being very different yet decend from common ancestors.

Every time I see this question, I become more and more convinced that implying man evolved from apes is an insult to the apes.

I suggest that you not study evolution or biology because you will be very embarrassed when you finally realize how silly this question is and how ignorant it makes you look to have even ask it. Stick with ID or creationism. That way you can smile and be happy in your refusal to think and learn.

Humans did not evolve directly from modern apes. Rather, humans and apes shared a common ancestor relatively recently.

Nature has a way of surviving. All of the fishies that grew legs and became dinosaurs were killed off. Nature learned it's lesson to always maintain a reserve. When we kill ourselves off which ever way it happens and don't try to say it won't, the monkeys that are left over will one day evolve to people and we start over again. It will take thousands if not millions of years, just like it did last time but it's nature's way of surviving.

How do we know it hasn't already happened and we're not people version two?

this is a common misconception. we did not evolve from them but share a common ancestor. think of it like a branch on a tree.

you could just as easily ask why are there humans if they are apes. we started at the same fork in the tree branch but have grown and adapted in different ways thus both species are viable to their environment.

I want to know why did humans stop evolving lol like we supposedly came from apes then turned into cavemen and now we are the human species...but now what? How did the cavemen survive but the dinosaurs didnt? When did adam and eve come along...before or after the dinosaurs?

That's simple. We didn't evolve from the monkeys you see today. We evolved from a type of primate that is similar to monkeys today. There would not be any living version of what we evolved from anymore because, of course, they evolved into us.
Evolution is not about looking at a monkey today and saying that we came from that monkey. It's about looking at a monkey today and comparing our characteristics to that monkey and speculating how we could have evolved from a creature LIKE that monkey.

That's because humans DIDNT evolve from monkeys or apes.
