There are lots of things that can make a couple feel close, points of commonality. Age can be one of those factors. Others may be sex drive, sense of humor, intelligence, value system or even favorite TV shows and Music. They don't need to all be the same. They need enough areas they agree on to make it work, the things that are important to each individual couple. So age can matter, or it doesn't

The only people it should really matter to are the people involved! Everyone has got an opinion on what age differences are acceptable, but I take the view that it's really up to the people involved...as long as it's legal and no one is being taken advantage of.

As long as both people are legal and adults then no age difference doesn't matter. Some people are really connected and drawn to each other regardless of age, it all depends on maturity.

I used to think so. So did my husband. But we met when I was 31 and he was 41. All of a sudden 10 years didn't make a difference. We just clicked. The only time it comes up is when he says "Remember this song?" and I say it was before my time and he says "That's right, you weren't born yet!"

Actually it does. If you are 40 years old and you are dating someone who is 20, there is something very wrong if you are on the same intellectual level.

it depends on the person, & their state of mind. i know for myself, i have reservations about dating a man younger than me. but i have no problem with dating men older than me.(by a few years)

It does not matter. I've seen happy couples that are many years apart. ;-)
