I'm meeting my father for the first time ever in July. I'm flying down to San Jose and I have no idea what to wear. I'm pretty certain how to act, but I was raised by happy hippy barbarians and he's an evil suit.
Help me Yahoo! What should I wear to make a good first impression on a conservative (but not Baptist style conservative)? And what should I pack for a second and third impression?

1] first meeting - wear something pretty but flattering, not too short or too low. Knee-length sundress or skirt sound good.
2] wear whatever flatters, avoiding braless, midriff, or camisoles without jacket; and no short-shorts or minis.
Make sure clothesfit properly - not too tight or too loose.
Skacks/jeans/capris/bermudas with a pretty blouse/tshirt/tank would suit.
Bring a jean jacket and a sweater or summer jacket [ lace/eyelet/linen ] in case you want to cover up.
Invest in a one-piece or tankini.
Pack some sandals, sneakers, church type shoes, and flip flops.
You can be understated this visit - but it seems to me if he was that conservative, he would have met you a long time ago.
Remember - he will be nervous too.

Wear what you normally wear, dont go trying to give false impressions of yourself, whatever you wear he'll be happy, he's getting to meet his daughter

umm wear a t shirt and slap a button down shirt on top. make sure your dressed modestly..dont wear any mini skirts, tank tops, shorts...try to cover at least 1/4 of your arms and 3/4 of your legs.

You should be you.Wear what you feel comfortable in.Don't go out of your way to impress someone.Hes your dad he probably wouldn't think anything of it,hes just going to be happy to see you. :)

Wear what your comfortable in. Since he's your dad, he needs to see who you really are. And, because he's your dad, he needs to accept who you are. Good luck!

i would wear whatever you want. if you are meeting your dad for the first time, you want him to see the real you.

wear what you like the most out of your wardrobe, something that's you if he doesn't like it that's his problem!
