The responsibility should technically fall on the person who made the mess. If the husband soiled the clothes, the husband can clean them, etc. However, if the wife chooses to do his laundry and clean up after him, that is fine. It's a choice. It should not be a requirement. Ideally, both should share the household responsibilities.

Yes. I clean up after him all the time. Why not? It's part of my routine. For the laundry part; especially, his work clothes he's picky about that so he gets those done professionally, perhaps he doesn't adore my ironing, can't say, never asked him, still I wash his personals. When he has a guest(s) over there may be times he brings the tea tray (he never makes tea for his guests) to the dining room table or he just leaves it in the living room; I go in and clean up after everyone is gone.

I think so if the wife is a stay a home mom.I dont think it would be right for the husband to be a total slob though.

I do just about everything..cleaning,cooking etc.But my husband does help with the kids when he's home and will help if I ask or he sees something that needs to be cleaned up he will do it without me asking. He's a good hubby and daddy =0)

He does do the lawn and the garbage...Now garbage I dont do...

I used to think so, however, times are different now. I say if the wife is bringing home the bacon-I say the husband needs to help around the house. Everyone should clean up after themselves no matter who makes the money.

If she is a stay at home wife then yes she should do his laundry, but he can clean up after himself. If she also works outside the home, then it is the equal responsibility of both of them to take care of household chores. Either way it is each one's repsonsibility to clean up after themselves.

No, the husband should have respect for his wife and clean up after himself like a grown man instead of being a little kid.

No. That responsibility should be split between the two, not one person cleaning after everything.

Depends if she works or not. If she works then they both should pitch in and help each other. Even if she didn't work no women should have to clean up after anyone. You make the mess you clean it up. That is today's world.

Well I do this for my husband without thinking about it. It was the way i was raised (old fashion - hispanic culture) and the way my husband was raised (old fashion - middle eastern culture) but he is a sweet person and he sometimes does things like laundry for me without me asking him to do it and it is always a sweet surprise.

For modern couples.... i think it should be shared.
