I hope these guys got a kick out of this prank, because it's gonna follow them for a long time. At very least, the kids will be charged with criminal mischief and assault X8. Destruction of public property.
This wasn't funny. It was malicious, intended to harm the victims, cause them pain, and create great mischief after the graduation ceremony. I'm sure there were ambulances, EMTs, fire fighters, etc. (I think there's a law against requiring public assistance for something done purposely and maliciously.) Who paid for the emergency crew? Why, the city of course. That's got to be another law.
You know, if this were only one person, I could see letting them off with probation. But they did this to 8 people. Eight people are going to have to suffer for months because of the actions of these boys. I think it would be fair for the accused to spend a year in minimum security jail (good behavior might bring it down to 6 months) and 400 hours of community service.

I don't know what the charges will be, but I do agree they should have been arrested. How dare they? It was not a harmless prank. Those people must have suffered pain and humilation from that 'prank.' Kids in my area threw a large, heavy object off of the freeway overpass...just a harmless prank they thought. I was going 65mph when the object blasted my windsheild out! I can't sleep, I hear flashback noises from the blast, and am on medication just so I don't jump out of my skin when I hear a loud noise. I did not deserve that, they had no right to invade my life like that. Just like these kids you are writing about...they had no right. If it was ok, then why didn't they choose their own family's bathroom to do that prank? Because they knew that it was wrong. Yes, they should be arrested.

I think this prank was serious enough for them to be severly punished. How would they feel if their butts were superglued to a toilet for 8 hours? That is really not funny.
I'm not sure what the charge would be, but it would certainly not be a felony. They do deserve to be arrested. Maybe it will knock some sense into them.
(After reading Donut Cop's response, I guess it could be a felony after all!)

I agree to every1's statement.
Firsts, the seniors who already graduated from that school, get arrested for criminal tresspass, a misdemeanor, because they have no business to be there. 2nd, would be vandalism, they superglued the toilets. 3rd, Destruction of State/County property, they had to unscrew the toilets and escort these people to the hospital, how would they feel if they had to walk around in the presence of the public with a toilet on their A.ss? 4th is criminal mischief, because their prank was dangerous and stupid.
When you look at it, i mean just look at these people without thinking how they may feel, it's funny to those kids, but it's not funny to those students and teachers who had to put up with all this. At first it's funny, then 5 minutes later, it makes me cry.
I hope those kids get sued.

It seems as though they may have been arrested for Endangerment with Criminal Intent, battery and possibly negligent kidnapping. Most likely, they will receive a misdemeanor charge for endagerment, but if charged with negligent kidnapping, it is a felony. The negligent kidnapping is because when they glued the teachers butt to the seat, they were unable to leave the scene, which constitutes for negligent kidnapping. If convicted that can get anywhere from probation to 5 1/2 years in prison. There is a line that is drawn between pranks, endangerment and kidnapping. Welcome to the real world....

It's sad that you call this a harmless prank. You have issues, or you're 12 years old.
Can you imagine what it would be like to have your *** glued to a toilet seat and have to be rescued?
I think that those dumb pranks should be the punishment for those people who commit the acts on innocent people. Still, after that, there should be no forgiveness because nobody will forget that.

Doesn't sound like a "harmless" prank if people had to go to the hospital because of it.
They'll probably be charged with something like misdemeanor assault, and also be held responsible for the medical costs which is probably already in the thousands if all 8 people had to go to the hospital.

Harmless prank?? Why is it harmless? Because they didn't kill anyone? If your world is so different from the society that you live in, don't be surprised when you have to face charges for your actions.

They messed up, they should have just got on with their lives like everyone else... I didn't beat up any of my teachers when I graduated, in fact, I gave them all hugs.
These morons are just looking for an excuse to ruin someone's day, screw them.

If it was so harmless, why did people have to go to the hospital?
