should i just wash it on its own... that would be SUCH a waste of water though...

ummm the dark pile, do you want to ruin your other lights?
It's not a waste if you got a bowl of water to wash it by hand....

When I wash clothes, I have a jean material pile, a white pile, a towels pile and a colors pile. I also have a pile for my boyfriends very dirty work clothes. I would put it in the colors pile. No such dark or light for me, just white or colors. It makes it a lot easier. Or if you were that worried about it, jsut hand wash it!

I think you put it in the dark pile...... WAIT NO!!!! You put it in the light pile!! Yes, the light pile. Thats my final answer. Aaaaaarrghhh, who am I kidding... I don't know!!
Hold on a sec, since when do pirates care about laundry? Haha, do you have a washing machine on board your ship? Must be a pretty cool ship you got there!

that is a tough one .... lol
I would put it in dark, because you would wash it on cold, and the other colors are less likely to bleed onto your white stripes.
whereas if you wash it with the whites, (I'm imagining you would do those on warm or hot) the black is more likely to darken your other white stuff. but that's just me ... on a question like this, you'll always get conflicting answers! ;O)
Oh, and I like laundry - gives me something to wear! lol
I do hate washing it though. ;OP

Personally, I would wash it by itself if this is the first time your washing because the colors will bleed on the opposite color no matter what pile you wash in. Good luck!

Dark, the colors will run, and if you put it in with the whites and bleach it, your black stripes won't be black anymore.

dark because that way if just incase your back stripes start to shed their color during the wash it won't matter that much with white it would

Sometimes I resort to three loads: white,.dark and colored. I read that whites will lighten dark pants and tops, etc. I have enough pastels and bright colored clothes to make a load by themselves.
