I have the same problem but my printer is a 500HDsmart from Hp I believe so, I install the CD that came with the printer and Windows Vista couldn't install the CD program in Wizard. I guess we will just have to wait until Vista gets up graded.

Hewlett Packard has Vista drivers for the Photosmart 3100 series on its website. Follow the supplied URL, select your specific model and download the appropriate Vista driver(s).
Don't be surprised if the new driver doesn't work seamlessly. MS is up to its heels in mud with this new system. I just bought a new laptop and searched furiously to find one with Windows XP because of Vista and its bugs.

Sorry, but Vista is incompatible with many things at the moment. You can try to search HP's driver list to see if they have anything up for Vista at the moment, but I doubt it.
Give it maybe 4 months, they'll have the drivers up.

The exact same problem happened to me yesterday!!
What you need to do is, go to www.hp.com, and click on "Software & Driver Downloads." From there, you enter your product name or number and then you will see a list of drivers that you can download for Vista. This worked for me and I hope it will work for you too.
