I've met Paul McCartney and Heather Mills at the top of Empire states building, The whole cast of Mighty Boosh, Julia Davies, Pete Doherty, Tim Burgess, Ian Browns band (sadly the man himself wasn't there but I technically shared a "cigarette" with him, long story!), Arctic Monkeys, Richard Hawley, Devvo. There's a few others I've met at parties but have been a bit spannered to remember the occasion properly so I don't really count them.
Sadly I've also met the guy who played Reg Holdsworth from Coronation Street when he was at the height of his fame!
I think Steve should win because James Brown is infinitely cooler than anyone else mentioned and sadly none of us will ever get the chance to meet the godfather of soul.

I met Gordon Strachan when both his father and my son were patients in the western general hospital last August. My son was a big rangers fan but was desperate to meet Mr. Strachan and the Celtic manager made the time to visit with most of the patients. My son was estatic as was I. My son got his autograph and I put it in his coffin when I buried him two week later. It was the proudest moment of my sons life.

I've met Alice Cooper and Ted Nugent. Ted Nugent seemed kind of into himself but Alice was the nicest guy you could imagine.

I met David Beckham a few weeks ago - I was on Spanish exchange in Madrid, and one of his sons went to a football club at the school there. He's really skinny in real life :D

I met James Brown in the Jackson Mississippi Ariport lounge back in about 1980. I walked in and there he was at a table with some other guy having a drink. I went up to the bartender and I said, "Hey, that's James Brown over there." She repied, "Yeah why don't you go say something to him." So I did. I went over and said to him, "Mr Brown, I've always been a big fan of yours so I just wanted to tell you how great an entertainer I think you are." He looked up at me and smiled and said in that raspy voice of his, "Thank you son, its white boys like you that made me rich and famous." It was great.

I've meet 5 celebs:
1 - Pussycat Dolls - I won a radio contest to meet them (it was actually in their concert). They're so nice! They're always willing to give you autographs, photos, hugs, answer to your question, etc. And they're also really fun, even though they seem to have too much make up on their face. Anyway, the nicest was Kimberly (she asked my name and she asked me what was my favorite music, etc.) Jessica is also really sweet, Nicole is really nice as well, but she was always flirting with the guys that were there, to meet her. Ashley is kind of shy, but nice. And Melody is shy as well, but also nice. And then we have Carmit (she seems to be the most responsible of the group, I think it's because she's the oldest), but anyway they are all NICE and FUNNY!
2 - Nelly Furtado. I meet her in a different way, now I am livin' in Portugal, and she was here once. And I got the oppurtunity to talk to her, and she is also really nice and the way how she laughs is funny!
3- Rihanna. It was the 2nd time that I won a radio contest to meet her (also in a concert). I didn't have much time to talk with her, because there were a lot of people there. So, she had to hurry up and give autographs and take photos with everybody... I don't really know if she is nice or not... but I guess that she is, because she let everybody take pictures and ask questions. And her hair doesn't seem real. LOL!
4 - Beyoncé Knowles. Also in a radio contest. It was a really cool day to me, because I am a big fan. And I went to her (awesome) concert and I also got the oppurtunity to meet her. It was great! She is extremely nice! And she'll do a new album (I asked her that). She is very pretty and she has amazing dresses! And she says thank you a lot of times (which is nice). But I couldn't have an autograph (her security didn't let me, it was kind of weird, and I could not take a picture with her and give her a present either). But anyway it was a great expirence and I'm happy I've got that amazing oppurtunity.
5 - Kofi Annan. I MET HIM TODAY! As you can see (even though I'm american) I'm livin' in Portugal right now and he was here today. It was a conference. I meet him because after his speech I asked him a question 'bout global warming: "If everybody in the world already know, what to do, how to do it and if we know what's gonna happen if we don't take action why is this still a world problem?" He really liked that question, so in the end of the speech I got the oppurtunity to talk with him. He is really nice too!

Let's see.
I've met governors and politicians, including Steve Forbes (He was very cordial.)
I met Minnie Driver, she was very nice and cool. I met Chris Isaak, he was also very nice and has a great smile.
But my favorite was a private dinner with the whole Robert Mondavi family during a barrel blend. Bob, Tim, Peter, Pete Jr., they were all so very kind.
