hi! my husband keeps bees but isn't in :-( so can't ask him. I do know that honey bees who have swarmed aren't aggressive - they've got other things to think about, like finding a new home. It might be a good idea to get an expert opinion, though. I don't think they can stay on the branch forever, and it might go somewhere you don't want it to go - like in your brickwork or chimney! They really like enclosed spaces, which is why I don't think they'll stay on the branch. Or, they might all go in someone else's garden - and their new hosts might not like them as much as you do, and may be allergic to stings. If you go to http://www.bees.co.uk/swarms/ then there is a phone number to call, but I don't know if there will be any kind of charge. In any case, they can give you more informed advice than I can. Your environmental health department at your local council will also be able to give advice. If a beekeeper can come and get it, they can give the bees a hive where they can be settled and probably much happier!

undecided in the event that they're 'honey' bees- yet there are some bees alongside with some wasps that construct their nests interior the floor. they have some stuff at ACE Hardware which you would be able to pour into the holes. (won't be able to bear in techniques the call of it) You do it interior the nighttime whilst they're calm. and then decrease your backyard the following day.

If you want to remove them you wil have to call the police. Seriously, I found a nest at work and called pest control who told me to call the local police station. After explaining that they weren't a nuisance and that I didn't want them arrested they told me that honey bees are protected and the local police station will have a list of bee keepers. Probably best you get them taken away y someone who knows what they are doing before they become a problem - you may get some free honey out of it.

If they are away from the house, then leave them. They don't bother you if you leave them to get on with their business.
We had a nest above our back door, but we had to call out the enviromental services to spray, it doesn't kill them, they just fly away to form another nest.
