People love that show, from my dad to a friend of mine that works at JPL, (intelligent people that I respect) so I guess my question is: Why is Seinfeld funny? I've seen a handful of episodes. I don't get it.

Seinfeld is a great sitcom. The Cast just gels.Jerry is always funny . George is a hoot.I never saw someone try to get out of work like he does . And he does know where all the best bathrooms are , in the city lol . Elaine is a brain in one hand & a ditz on the other.Kramer is my favorite.He never works . Always has money .Eats jerry's food.Goes on vacations.And dates a lot .But he doesnt have a steady job.

It was a ground-breaking show. The first show about "nothing". It had great writers and one of the greatest casts of all time. Give it a chance, you need to watch more than a handful of episodes.
On the other hand, not every show is for everyone. But Seinfeld was loved by a majority, as you can see by the ratings, DVD sales, and reruns.

People either get it or they don't. I don't believe it has anything to do with intelligence. I don't think Jerry Seinfeld is that hilariously funny but the show, with that mix of characters was.

Different types of humor for different personalities I suppose. Some people think Napoleon Dynamite was funny. I think it was the most lame movie ever. I love Seinfeld btw, especially Kramer. Its difficult to say why I think its funny but I'm obviously not the only one based on the length of its existence and how the reruns are still on.

I don't know maybe how the actors act and the way they say it or a word that's funny. sometimes when I watch that show I don't laugh because it's not funny,i just laugh a few times

I used to find it much funnier, then I was introduced to Arrested Development. Now I just can't see why I ever thought anything else was funny.

its not that good but its good my brother used to see it all the i didnt liked it at first then later on started to like that show its kinda funny
