This is of course an excellent idea, but from what I have heard, it would not be possible as it would go against the prisoners' human rights, in that their families wouldn't be able to visit them in jail every week if they were in prison somewhere like China or Nigeria. I think they give up their human rights once they have committed a crime, quite honestly, and so that excuse is just tough luck! Your idea would provide work and income for the poorest countries thus alleviating world poverty. It would be a brilliant deterrent, and these countries would have the space to build prisons that meant all prisoners had to be in solitary confinement all the time, which would stop them taking drugs and using prison as a place to learn more about crime from other criminals. You would get massive national support for your idea, it is such good sense, but of course because it is so sensible there is no way the politicians would do it!

Its no good doing that.Knowing this country, they would be sued for infringing on the prisoners human rights, and the prisoners would win!.Our prisons are full because we have more criminals now than we have ever had before. If a crime has been committed by someone who was not born in this country they should be deported back to their own country. Why should the tax payer have to suffer. It is no good letting them out early. What needs to happen is that we need greater deterrents. To be in prison today is something some criminals enjoy. We need to have greater punishments for all crimes, both corporal and capitol punishment to act as a deterrent. Its no good building new prisons. The government are on about letting some prisoners out early.Because our prisons are full, doesn't this tell our government what sort of society and the sad state this country is in.

Yes, it's an idea I like; if some idiot drink driver who kills a pedestrian can serve his 9 month jail term in an Angolan or Iraqi prison so much the better. Although I'd send these crims to Mississippi and put them in a cell with a 20 stone half-wit called Bubba...

Killerclown - did you examine the story? And it rather is infrequently completely unique. Blind faith interior the means of individuals to grow to communicate terrorists has not at all been a good concept. that isn't the 1st time, the two, the hot Scientist ran a interogation particular which blanketed among different memories (it confirmed the two facets) the story of an harmless woman who grow to be held for numerous months. there is a few outrage (APA psychologists have formally banned psychologists from partaking in torture interogations, and numerous different psychologist have concept this wasn't sufficient and resigned - sorry, I only be responsive to my particular concern area) yet no longer almost sufficient, and not in keeping with this actual tale the two. i individually worry on each occasion a central authority feels the could cover area of it rather is penitentiary device. the government isn't suitable, it desires exterior remark to avert corruption and make confident blunders arn't hidden away. It desires accountability. to no longer point out, torture isn't an useful technique of retrieving easy information.

Nice idea, but if they didn't have colour TVs and pool tables then they would just say it's a violation of their human rights. Then spend a load of tax payer's money on lawyers defending their rights under the European Human Rights Act, and end up staying in Britain anyway.

The prisons would not be full if petty and/or non-violent offenders were not also put there. Instead, as someone has suggested, give them community service and/or sentence them to house arrest.
Can not ship prisoners where their human rights would be violated.
