The last 2 days.. I've been freaking out...

DH and I are doing a rent-to-own thing for a house. We get posession late Aug, beginning of Sept.
We have to come up with $5000 by closing, and another $5000 within 4 months once we're in.
This is doable.. but I'm freaking out about it.

Where we are now, we are behind in our rent, but paying as often as we can.... The place is turning into a dump, and I"m asking for some of the money to be taken off of what we owe because of the way the building is.

I don't think we'll get an eviction notice, but I'm totally freaking out thinking we may before we move into the new place... I'm going to give notice on August 1 (Gives us til mid Sept just in case)(Our property manager is a mega-***** on a power trip so I can't really talk to her)
I was totally excited, now I'm completely stressed out...
1> Can we come up with the money in time
2> What if we get an eviction notice before Aug 1
etc etc etc.

What do I do

1. stop going out to movies at the theatre
2. stop renting videos at Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, and anywhere else you may throw away good money
3. stop eating fast food and cook at home
4. stop eating in restaurants (cooking pancakes, ramen noodles and cheap mac and cheese should save you hundreds over the next few months)
5. stop buying new clothes, the ones you have are fine
6. stop getting your hair done at the fancy salon until you can afford to pay your bills and save
7. stay away from the spa/nail salon
8. pick up a second job; people need to learn to stand up an earn what they want
9. stop driving to places you can walk or take public transportation; gas is expensive.
10. cancel your premium cable (and basic cable for that matter), high speed internet, and luxury phone features

If you need further suggestions, please submit a new question and I will do my best to provide sound guidance.

Ummm...I'd be freaking too. If you are behind on your rent, WHY are you behind, if you can manage to come up with $5000 at closing ? Are you withhholding rents to come up with the $5000? This is NOT bright, since that mega***** will sue you for the missing rents eventually.

You are burning the candle at both ends here, besides biting off more than you can chew.
